On Friday night, Trash Talk tore through LA's Echoplex on the last date of their Check Yo Ponytail tour. With a stacked lineup and a frenzied crowd, the show certainly delivered. So. Many. Stagedives.
Joining Trash Talk on the mixed bill were hip-hop group Ratking, producer/DJ Lee Bannon, and rock act Together Pangea, creating a diverse lineup that served to bring together an audience that otherwise might not end up at the same show on a Friday night.
Throughout Trash Talk's set, the mixed bill concept was expounded upon by frontman Lee Spielman, as a fresh approach to uniting different tastes and demographics under the guise of experiencing something new. Its a great idea we regularly see used on mixed bill festival lineups, but applies just as well to a more intimate club show.
